Christmas 2026 falls unusually well for a trip to the mountains. If you have been thinking about spending it in the Tatras, this is the year when you do not need to spend holiday days on it — you only need to pick the right dates and book early enough.

With this calendar the natural choice is four nights: arrive on 23 December, leave on 27 December. A shorter stay means arriving on Christmas Eve itself or leaving in the middle of Boxing Day, which eats half the trip. Our Christmas package is built exactly around those dates.
December sells out faster than any other month in Zakopane, and Christmas goes first. In small properties with a dozen or so apartments rather than hundreds of rooms, Christmas dates usually close in autumn. Booking directly with the property normally means the best rate without commission, flexible arrival and departure times and a direct line to the host.
An apartment works better than a hotel room at Christmas: there is room for everyone at once, space between meals and no need to step into a corridor to talk.
